Older furniture rarely covers clearance costs — and only ever with your permission. Most items have little resale value today, and auction returns are often minimal after transport and fees.
We always aim to reuse, donate, or recycle, and reflect this in your quote. The idea that contents pay for clearance comes from a time when furniture was worth more and waste rules were looser.
Sadly, today’s throwaway culture has made once-loved pieces less desirable — though we still have a soft spot for vintage pine!

Waste costs are always rising, currently general waste is around £200 a tonne, imagine a tonne bag packed with waste...that's £200 quid! That does not include our costs, that is just for the handling centre, then add additional costs for sofas, fridge freezers and other items such as asbestos and it all adds up!
We aim to provide honest and upfront quotations as appose to estimates so you can plan and allocate costs accurately, for some ongoing projects we offer a PPL - Price Per Load, based on volume, distance and material type.
